Unnoticed Miracles
Do you ever take a moment to notice the miracles around you?
A miracle is defined as “a surprising and welcome event that is not explicable by natural or scientific laws and is therefore considered to be the work of a divine agency.”
So, how do you define a miracle?
I’d like to say that I’m the type to see miracles in the little things, like in the sunrises and sunsets, or in every breath, I breathe. A miracle in every shooting star, maybe? What about in that small space between the tension that doesn’t turn into a fight, but simply turns into an “I love you”? In every bruise that heals, and reminds you that you’re human? When the sky is clear and there isn’t a cloud in sight, so you can see the milky way? When you get a text saying “I’m home, safe” after a long day?
I feel that miracles happen all around us. It’s just a matter of if your eyes are open to see them. I don’t think you could put a label or a final definition of what a miracle is because our God is limitless. I believe that miracles are as unexplainable as surviving a hurricane, but also as simple as waking up each day. Not everyone gets to be so blessed.
So how will you count your miracles?
